A colleague sent me a blog mentioning me which you had graciously responded to offering your website as a resource on critical pedagogy. Just wanted to thank you for the work you've put into this admirable decoding of the critical end of things...( Ira Shor ) |

This is a superb resource which forges links between important areas -architecture, sociology and critical education. I shall certainly share this with colleagues/students, friends and family members starting with my daughter who is an architect. It is also a brilliant teaching tool. |

This is a great resource! I will definitely... pass on the information to others. (Antonia Darder ) |

Found your site electrifying. Thanks for this wonderful site that I have just discovered. I teach in the University in Nigeria and my background is Theatre and my areas of interests are Theatre for Development and Community Organizing. Recently, I have been looking at Transformative Theatre as a counter revolution to theatre for Development. Your work is extensive I would like to engage with you frequently on your work.. |

This is one of the best teaching tools in Critical Pedagogy that I have come across as a specialist in the field. I will definitely include the site as a reference in my courses. |

Great article Tony! And what a terrific website! A wonderful job bringing together themes and issues of importance to critical educators everywhere. There is much to offer social justice educators from a variety of fields. Well done, companero.( Peter Mclaren) |

... an excellent job in bringing together new material, case studies and new perspectives on critical practices. (The) particular perspectives on space and architecture is so centrally important in understanding globalization. (Michael Peters) |

I did go to your web site. It is a valuable and wonderful resource and being in graduate school I am grateful for it. I don't have much leisure time. Your writing is so clear and makes important connections between areas that I am vaguely aware of but did not have enough perspective to see whole. I feel like I have found a "rosette stone". |

What you offer is rich and important for critical pedagogues everywhere. You are an important, world historical figure--co-founder of both the Environmental Design Research Association in the U.S. and the Design Research Association in England, part of the beginnings of A Pattern Language and Design Methods, your synthesis of Critical Pedagogy and architectural education, and your work with the Maori--and people navigating your website can trace this important history and learn volumes from it.( Tom Dutton ) |

Your unique ability to synthesize and apply critical theories of race, education and space in the context of deepening globalization is a vital contribution to those struggling to enlarge the space for critical reflection and transformative action. You bring together years of working at the coal face of critical pedagogy with indigenous Maori communities, critical educators and the decolonization of space and the self. We are much in need of what you offer. Thank you, Tony, for your wonderful work!

Te Mata Maori have had the pleasure of working alongside Tony in developing the Hei Manaaki Maori Tourism programme that enhances and we hope will re–shape the way Maori people and the culture is portrayed and participates in Aotearoa’s tourist industry.... Tony’s wealth of knowledge, experience and direction in developing other educational programmes came to the fore in producing a well – rounded proposal that explained concisely and clearly the issues that the programme would address and how best to meet our objectives. |

This is very exciting. You've set up a truly excellent site. On one hand it tells people who you are, what makes you tick and what you offer. In addition you've provided an integrated window through which anyone can discover not only the essence of Critical Theory but also explore it's application and practice. There's a wealth of information, explanation, examples and I was most impressed that the multitude of references are all cleverly grouped. This enhances the brilliant thematic structure of the site. The links are severely enticing and I can see that I will lose myself and many screen hours just in Peter McLaren's UCLA page. The prospect of a blog and chat line is a bonus. This is a site that can be returned to time and time again. There is so much provided, there will always be a new line of thought to follow, a new concept to explore or to simply revisit an idea after reflection. What a resource |
